The inspiration source for MFC French Roman is an elegant wedge-serif letter-style simply referred to as "French Roman Light" in an 1899 lettering publication by International Correspondence Schools. This gorgeous lettering style was originally depicted only with Capitals, Numbers, and an Ampersand, which we’ve precisely recreated and expanded on to create a full typeface with alternate low waisted letters and a large collection of unique ligatures.
